Ten Films that I Simply Adore

Ten Films that I Simply Adore

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten list that members at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone join as you please. This week’s topic is: Top Ten All Time Favourite Films.

Other than books, I love going to the movies, watching movies, reading about movies. I just love films. For most films, I am there the first day watching it. Sometimes it’s even a midnight session. And then I can re-watch films over and over again. Here are some of my favourite films and they are no particular order.

films-1

Harry Potter: I couldn’t pick my favourite okay. It’s like asking a mother to pick her favourite child. However, there isn’t a time that isn’t perfect to watch Harry Potter.

Lord of the Rings: Again like Harry Potter, I can’t pick my favourite. I just love putting these movies on and falling into the world.

The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns: I have loved this movie since I was a child. I can sit down and fall in love all over again. It’s beautiful. However, I do need to find a DVD of this that doesn’t jump.

films-2

Avengers: This would not be my list if I didn’t have some Marvel on here. I loved Avengers, seeing everyone come together to fight off one evil – yes thank you.

Beauty and the Beast: One of favourite Disney films, that I could watch on reply. Again and again. I just watched the trailer for the live action and cried.

Sleeping Beauty: My other favourite Disney film – it’s just perfect okay. This is another one that I could watch over and over again.

films-3

Catching Fire: I think it’s one of my favouite of the series. Such an truthful adaptation.

Girls just want to have fun: I was introduced to this movie when I was quite young and I still watch it till this day. It’s one of those movies that puts a smile on my face, no matter the day.

The Seeker: This might be influenced by my love for Alexader Ludwig. But it’s my type of film; magic and war.

films-4

Iron Man: Okay I love Iron man – enough said. Nevertheless, I do like all the other Iron Man movies as well, but number 1 hits the spot.

What are some of your favourite films? Do you share any of the same? Do we have similar taste? Let’s Chat!

I couldn’t pick a Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings favorite either. They’re just all on my list, always 🙂
And I love Iron Man too. Great list!

I’ve actually seen a really good amount of these movies on your list and I’d have to agree with Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lord of the Rings. Those are some of my favorites. I can’t pick a favorite for Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings either. I watch the Harry Potter films A LOT… I love watching movies and I watch those more than anything else. The first Iron Man movie was definitely the best; I don’t really like the other two very much. The Thor movies are great though. (I mean, come on, it’s Chris Hemsworth.) But another favorite of mine is Pride & Prejudice (the one with Keira Knightley). It’s so good. That movie made me read the book and I am in love with them both.

I don’t know why I didn’t put HP on my list! I love them so much. I also loved Beauty and the Beast but I haven’t seen it since I was a kid. I really need to watch it again.

Such a great selection of movies you have chosen, some I absolutely love or really want to watch. I LOVE Catching Fire, it is my favourite in the series too. LOTRs is probably my favourite film series, it is utter perfection. I love the HP movies, so I’m not sure why they didn’t make my list. I picked to do my favourite movies for this movie freebie week, you can check out my post here if you like.

I have a love-hate relationship with this series. I have a love-hate relationship with this series. But I ended up really enjoying this one. It’s best friends to fake dating to-lovers. It’s always been you, bad-boy/good-girl, and I loved that. While Save Your Breath has quite a few tropes, it really leads itself to it, and it works.

Aleks and Mia have known each other for years now. Since they were teenagers, that angst has been building up this whole time. And you can tell right from the get-go, it’s fantastic. I even wanted more of it, because I love pain. When Aleks went to live with Mia’s family as a teenager, sparks flew, but for many reasons, they both put their feelings aside. And well, now they are not only going to be fake-dating, but they might as well be engaged, too.

I really enjoyed seeing how both Aleks and Mia both tried to hide how they were feeling throughout the whole ‘fake-dating’ situation, but anyone could see it. They know each other as no one else does. Aleks has a lot going on, and while I do think this was brushed over a little too much, Mia is his centre. Mia is a massive music star and is a female in the industry, so yeah, people don’t respect her. Obvsiouly because why couldn’t a female star be badass and write about the things that she has gone through? Aleks and Mia get each other, and that is very clear from the start; they are both just trying to squash everything. We get to see them slowly start to show how they feel, and well, one night it all explodes.

Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot; it’s not my favourite of the series, but I had a great time reading it. I liked Aleks and Mia a lot as characeters and while I think the mental health aspect could have been explored a whole lot more, I can see why it wasn’t. The romance was slow and spicy, the angst was great, and the payoff for these two was what they needed.
