New Adult Books That I’ve Been Loving

New Adult Books That I’ve Been Loving

New Adult Books I've Recently Loved

Over the past 2 years or so I’ve started to delve into New Adult. I’m turning 21 this year and I thought it was time to try and read a little bit older. However, I’ve only made it to NA. But, I love it. I find that when I just want to relax and take a step back these are the books that I pick up.

So I thought why not share some New Adult books that I’ve read recently and loved. And I am sorry that the list isn’t by a range of authors, but I’ve found some that I like and can’t stop reading them.

Him by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy: This is the first m/m New Adult book that I’ve read…and I feel in love. I laughed, cried and totally feel in love with the characters. They just seem to pick you up and take you on a ride with them.

Us by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy: The sequel to Him and just like it I feel in love. It follows the same couple through thick and thin. With their relationship being tested in so many ways.

Good boy by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy: This one is a companion book to the Him duo and gosh did I love it as much. We see characters that we’ve already fallen in love with, but we also fall in love with more.

The Deal Series by Elle Kennedy: I recently re-read this series and I forgot how addicting they are. How caught up I get in the characters and how they interaction with one another. These books are fun, sexy and have boys that play ice hockey. I am totally in. Nevertheless, this is a 4 book series about best mates and their girls.

A Thousand Letters by Staci Hart: This book torn me apart.  A Thousand Letters is a heartbreaking read and will leave you an emotional wreck. It’s about family, friends and second chances. It’s about forgiveness, letting go and falling in love | Full Review

And that is it for this post. Have you read any of the books on my list? Did you like them? Are you planning on reading them? Do you have any New Adult books that you think I might love? Let’s Chat!

Great post. Honestly, I very much stick to YA and I kind of feel bad for it. I’m 20 so I feel like I should be reading more NA but I just don’t know how to find any good ones, so this list is soooo helpful! I’ll definitely take a closer look at all of these and see which ones peak my interest!

Don’t feel bad at all. You can read whatever you like! I’ve just wanted to read that little bit older and longer. If you need any more suggestions just asks. I’ve read heaps more – these are just the ones that I’ve read so far this year. Thanks for the comment

Wow. You picked a wonderful and terrible place to start. HIM is such a great read, but now you’ve set the bar very high for all other NA reads.

Sarina Bowen’s The Ivy Years is also a wonderful series, and book three, The Understatement of the Year is my favorite so far. (I’ve read the first three.)

I’m glad you found some NA to enjoy! 🙂

That’s for sure. I’ve read a couple before this year for Rebecca Yarros and Rachel Harris and loved both of them so going to keep on reading what they bring out.
I really want to start The Ivy Years, I need to get some money, though – a little short of that for the moment. But, I can’t wait to start. What are some of the NA that you love?

So happy to see The Deal on here, I loved that book. I’m also happy to see Good Boy on here because I want to read it soon. I hope we see better new adult books this year!

I LOVED Him and Us! They are my favorite MM romance couple ever! So good! I didn’t even know Good Boy existed so I’m definitely going to have to pick that one up soon! Great list!

I have a love-hate relationship with this series. I have a love-hate relationship with this series. But I ended up really enjoying this one. It’s best friends to fake dating to-lovers. It’s always been you, bad-boy/good-girl, and I loved that. While Save Your Breath has quite a few tropes, it really leads itself to it, and it works.

Aleks and Mia have known each other for years now. Since they were teenagers, that angst has been building up this whole time. And you can tell right from the get-go, it’s fantastic. I even wanted more of it, because I love pain. When Aleks went to live with Mia’s family as a teenager, sparks flew, but for many reasons, they both put their feelings aside. And well, now they are not only going to be fake-dating, but they might as well be engaged, too.

I really enjoyed seeing how both Aleks and Mia both tried to hide how they were feeling throughout the whole ‘fake-dating’ situation, but anyone could see it. They know each other as no one else does. Aleks has a lot going on, and while I do think this was brushed over a little too much, Mia is his centre. Mia is a massive music star and is a female in the industry, so yeah, people don’t respect her. Obvsiouly because why couldn’t a female star be badass and write about the things that she has gone through? Aleks and Mia get each other, and that is very clear from the start; they are both just trying to squash everything. We get to see them slowly start to show how they feel, and well, one night it all explodes.

Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot; it’s not my favourite of the series, but I had a great time reading it. I liked Aleks and Mia a lot as characeters and while I think the mental health aspect could have been explored a whole lot more, I can see why it wasn’t. The romance was slow and spicy, the angst was great, and the payoff for these two was what they needed.

And I’m going to be honest here it’s because I’ve been constantly reading Heated Rivalry fanfics. 🤷‍♀️ I’m having the best time though.

How was your reading in February? Any 5 star reads?
