Books I Love But Have Never Reviewed | TTT

Books I Love But Have Never Reviewed | TTT

August 11, 2020 Posted by angelreads Features, Top Ten Tuesday 8 Comments

This week I’m sharing the books that I love but never reviewed. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

I read a lot of books and I don’t review all of them. Most of the time the ones that I do review are books that can specifically for reviews. And newer releases or when I do things like my mini-reviews and can collate several reviews in one. But I just can’t write a review for everything that I’ve read, so today I’m sharing books that I have loved, but don’t have a review written for it yet.

I tried to share a range of books here, but there will be a lot more romance as it’s something that I am reading more of at the moment. Like always these are in no order.

Sleeping Giants (Themis Files #1) by Sylvain Neuvel: I’m can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this. I know I’ve spoken about it a few times on here, but I love this one so much, especially as an audiobook. If you haven’t had the chance to read this one, but want to. Do me a favour and listen to it on audio. It has a full cast and it just works out to be incredible.

Rookie Move (Brooklyn Bruisers #1) by Sarina Bowen: This is one of my favourite Sarina Bowen books and I somehow don’t have a review for it. I love the first 3 books of this series so much. I enjoy the others a lot. But the original 3 is exactly what I look for in a sports romance. And Leo and Georgia have to be one of my favourite couples for sure!

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller: I didn’t realise I hadn’t written a proper review of this one until today. This is hands down one of my favourite books. There is so much that I love about The Song of Achilles that I would be talking about it forever. But the characters are beautiful, the writing is stunning. And I cried like a baby.

You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn: This is one of those books that I said a review will be coming soon and it never comes. But I enjoyed reading this one a lot. The romance was fantastic, the characters were great and I enjoyed the storyline. I think I want to reread this one soon and finally publish a review.

Full Measures (Flight & Glory #1) by Rebecca Yarros: Another romance one that I have no idea why I haven’t review. Rebecca Yarros is one of my favourite romance authors and this is the book that brought me to her. This book made me cry so much, but gosh was it fantastic. I’ve reviewed most of her other books and adore most of them as well. But this will always have a special place for me.

More Than We Can Tell (Letters to the Lost #2) by Brigid Kemmerer: I swear I reviewed this one, but apparently not! Anyway, I love this book so much. I love that we got to jump back into the world that Brigid created her. Rev Fletcher is a fantastic character and all I wanted was good things to happen to him. I miss this world and I might have to do a re-read of these books soon.

Secrets of a Summer Night (Wallflowers #1) by Lisa Kleypas: I can’t believe I’ve only reviewed one of Lisa Kleypas’ books and it’s her most recent one. I’ve read quite a bit of hers now and you should also all know how much I love her books. They are just fun, entering, full of fantastic romances.

Halo (Fallen Angel #1) by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine: I read this trilogy last year and enjoyed it. I knew nothing about it when I picked it up but ended up loving it. It’s not a series for everyone, but it was fun, enjoyable and the romance was hot.

The One You Can’t Forget (The Ones Who Got Away #2) by Roni Loren: I’ve read the first two books in this series and they have both just made me cry. I have reviewed the first book in this series, but haven’t’ reviewed this one yet. Like I said this one made me cry a lot, but I expecting nothing less.

And that is it for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday! Have you read any of these books? Are you planning on reading them? What are books that you love but haven’t’ reviewed? Let’s Chat!

Sometimes I just can’t seem to make myself write a review about a book that I love. I wonder now if it is that I am afraid that my review won’t live up to the book itself. Here is my TTT list

You can’t go past a Kleypas romance for a good read!

I read and loved Circe but I still haven’t read Song of Achilles.

I definitely don’t review every book I’ve read! It seems almost an impossible task! 😅

You’d Be Mine! What a fabulous book. I’m glad you enjoyed it, even if you didn’t review it. I just recently read it.

I haven’t read any of these except The Song of Achilles, which I loved! I find that I’m only really writing reviews for review books now, which is kind of sad because it means I’m not talking about a lot of the books I’m reading and loving.

I have a love-hate relationship with this series. I have a love-hate relationship with this series. But I ended up really enjoying this one. It’s best friends to fake dating to-lovers. It’s always been you, bad-boy/good-girl, and I loved that. While Save Your Breath has quite a few tropes, it really leads itself to it, and it works.

Aleks and Mia have known each other for years now. Since they were teenagers, that angst has been building up this whole time. And you can tell right from the get-go, it’s fantastic. I even wanted more of it, because I love pain. When Aleks went to live with Mia’s family as a teenager, sparks flew, but for many reasons, they both put their feelings aside. And well, now they are not only going to be fake-dating, but they might as well be engaged, too.

I really enjoyed seeing how both Aleks and Mia both tried to hide how they were feeling throughout the whole ‘fake-dating’ situation, but anyone could see it. They know each other as no one else does. Aleks has a lot going on, and while I do think this was brushed over a little too much, Mia is his centre. Mia is a massive music star and is a female in the industry, so yeah, people don’t respect her. Obvsiouly because why couldn’t a female star be badass and write about the things that she has gone through? Aleks and Mia get each other, and that is very clear from the start; they are both just trying to squash everything. We get to see them slowly start to show how they feel, and well, one night it all explodes.

Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot; it’s not my favourite of the series, but I had a great time reading it. I liked Aleks and Mia a lot as characeters and while I think the mental health aspect could have been explored a whole lot more, I can see why it wasn’t. The romance was slow and spicy, the angst was great, and the payoff for these two was what they needed.

And I’m going to be honest here it’s because I’ve been constantly reading Heated Rivalry fanfics. 🤷‍♀️ I’m having the best time though.

How was your reading in February? Any 5 star reads?
