Synopsis:
Before. Miles “Pudge” Halter’s whole existence has been one big nonevent, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave the “Great Perhaps” (François Rabelais, poet) even more. Then he heads off to the sometimes crazy, possibly unstable, and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed-up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young, who is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart.
After. Nothing is ever the same.
My Review
What can i say about this book, it is absolutely amazing. It is the first John Green book that I have read and let me tell you, i can not wait to read more. I love that this book does not have a girl that is the main Character. also love that the male lead of this book, is not the typical YA male you see. He is not the popular guy, he is the shy one that hides in the corner. Miles is this boy that is not the rebel type. He is looking for the ‘Great Perhaps.’ I found it very intriguing that Miles remembered peoples last worst, i was something very different that i have not seen before. I also love the Character of Alaska Young like with Miles, I have not really read a character like her before. So when the big shock happened i was in a very bad state. I had a thought that something bad would happened, but what happened was a big shock to me. I pretty much cried for the last half of the book. They Way Miles thought and acted it was very emotional and hard. I love they way John Green writes, but let me tell you John Green knows how to rip my heart out of my chest, grab it, throw it on the floor and step on it. I loved the Story line, the love the Characters, i just loved everything about this book.

Synopsis: Last year, Annabel was “the girl who has everything” — at least that’s the part she played in the television commercial for Kopf’s Department Store. This year, she’s the girl who has nothing: no best friend because mean-but-exciting Sophie dropped her, no peace at home since her older sister became anorexic, and no one to sit with at lunch. Until she meets Owen Armstrong. Tall, dark, and music-obsessed, Owen is a reformed bad boy with a commitment to truth-telling. With Owen’s help, maybe Annabel can face what happened the night she and Sophie stopped being friends.

What can i say? This book is simply amazing. It is the first Sarah Dessen Book I have read and i can not wait to read more. I Loved the Character of Annabel, she is strong but then you see her weakness’. At the start we see her as someone who keeps everything hidden away, but towards the end she because a person some people may see her as weak but i see this as the strongest we see her. I Also LOVE the Character of Owen, he is my kinda guy. Tall, Dark, Handsome, Sexy, Mysterious and into music, what can be better? I love they way he cared for Annabel in his own way, it was cute. I thought the Story line was very strong, and it hit people in many different ways, especially when we find out Annabel’s secret. The Only part that got on my nerves was Owen’s continues of telling Annabel about telling the truth, her just kept on saying it, that i wanted to punch him in the face. Don’t get me wrong, i know what telling the truth is good and right but after him saying it alot, it got on my nerves.
My Favourite quotea from this book are;
“Don’t think or judge, just listen.”
“There comes a time when the world gets quiet and the only thing left is your own heart. So you’d better learn the sound of it. Otherwise you’ll never understand what it’s saying.”

My Review
This book…. what can i say… I did not like the way it was written, the sentences were too short, they are a few words that it. I did not like the characters, they were to bland and wrong. I did not like the story line, sorry it was horrible. Maybe because i am 16 and this was aimed at younger teens, but it was just not written in a way i think a book should be written.
I Gave this book a 1 Star
