Kindle Unlimited TBR | September 2022

Kindle Unlimited TBR | September 2022

Sep 22, 2022

It’s time again for a Kindle Unlimited TBR update. I’ve been making my way through my KU for the last few months and I have gotten some new books recently. I still have a few books that you have seen on my Kindle Unlimited TBRs before, but there is also a heap of new books.

I’m really excited about so many of the books on this tbr and I cannot wait to read them. It’s a mix of different romances and that makes me even more excited. So let’s get right into it. Here are the books currently on my kindle unlimited tbr. And as always these are in no order.

Muscles & Monsters (Leviathan Fitness #1) by Ashley Bennett. |  Thieves and Monsters (Three Fates Mafia #1) by Opal Fairchild and Clio Evans. | Blood Bonds (The Bonds That Tie #3) by J. Bree  | That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf (Mead Mishaps #2) by Kimberly Lemming.

Twisted Hate (Twisted #3) by Ana Huang | Hooked (Never After #1) by Emily McIntire. | The Complete Kit Davenport Series (Kit Davenport #1-6.5) by Tate James.| Promises and Pomegranates (Monsters & Muses #1) by Sav R. Miller.

Cursed Fates (Zodiac Academy #5) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti | Thicker Than Water by Becca Seymour. | Knot Over You: A Charity Anthology | Give Me More (Salacious Players Club #3) by Sara Cate.

Noble Prince (Clifton Forge #4) by Devney Perry| Fallen Jester (Clifton Forge #5) by Devney Perry. | Tin Queen (Clifton Forge #6) by Devney Perry| Pack’s Promise (Club Heat) by Victoria Kent.

And there we go. Those are the current books on my kindle unlimited tbr. Have you read any of these? Are you planning on reading them? Also what books are currently on your tbr and are any the same as mine? So let’s chat!

Books On My Spring 2022 To-Read List

Books On My Spring 2022 To-Read List

Sep 20, 2022

This week I’m sharing the books on my spring (fall) tbr. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

I can’t believe it’s already September. Which means it’s the start of spring here in Australia. So today I would share some new releases that I hope to read in the next couple of months. Instead of sharing all the books that I want to read, I wanted to share the new books I’m really excited about.

Like most of the past year, most of these books are romance. Some are indie and some are traditionally published. So let’s go. And as always these are in no real order.

Faith & the Dead End Devils (Sweet Omegaverse #8) by Kathryn Moon | Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail (Bright Falls #2) by Ashley Herring Blake. | Laurels and Liquor (Pack Saint Clair #3) by Thora Woods | The Kraken’s Sacrifice (A Deal With a Demon #2) by Katee Robert.

Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese | The American Roommate Experiment (Spanish Love Deception #2) by Elena Armas. | Love Me (WITSEC #3) by Ashley N. Rostek | Lunatic (Necessary Evils #6) by Onley James.

Court of the Vampire Queen by Katee Robert | Their Vicious Darling (Vicious Lost Boys #3) by Nikki St. Crowe.

And there we go. Those are the books coming out in the next few months that I would like to read this Spring. Some of these are some of my most antipcated reads of the year and I cannot wait to get to them. What are you reading this Spring/Fall? Are any of the books on my list on yours? Let’s chat!

Last Five Reads | September

Last Five Reads | September

Sep 18, 2022

I haven’t done an update like this one in a while, and I thought now would be the perfect time to share a reading update with my last five reads. So far this month is tracking way better than the last few reading-wise. Not only in the number of books I’ve been reading but also the books that I am reading, I’ve been enjoying.

So I thought today  I would share my last five reads. I love doing these posts because I don’t just get to update you on what I am reading, but also share my thoughts on the books as well. I’ve been reading a range of romance books the last few weeks and it really shows in the books I’m sharing with you today. So let’s get into it. As always these are in no order. These are my last five reads.

Mad Man (Necessary Evils #5) by Onley James: I’ve been making my way through this series over the last few months and I’m nearly caught up with the newest book. While this wasn’t my favourite in the series. I still had such a fantastic time reading it.

This series won’t be for everyone. It’s about psychopaths that kill. And while they are murdering horrible people, it’s still a grey area. And I love it. It’s one of my favourite things about the series. The greyness of it all. How these men, are not only killers but psychopaths. And then they happened to fall in love.

The romance of this one was one of the more interesting ones and unique but it’s also pretty intense. I am intrigued to see where this series is taken and I can’t wait to read more. The last few books are going to be intense.

There are major trigger warnings for this book that include; murder, death, sexual assault, torture, graphic sex scenes and more. Please check all trigger warnings before diving in.

Eyes on Me (Salacious Players Club #2) by Sara Cate: This is another series that I started earlier this year. And while I didn’t love the first book I was intrigued enough to continue. And I am glad that I did. I really enjoyed this one a lot. And I’m already onto book three because I needed to know what was happening next.

This is another series that is not going to be for everyone. It features a group of friends that own a sex club and it’s a lot of fun. I love that each book is a little taboo, sexy and hooks your right in.

The romance in this book was so good and I couldn’t stop reading it. I loved seeing our characters fall for one another. And realise that they are falling for one another. It just makes for a fantastic read. There are a few intense moments here and I love that.

A Soul to Keep (Duskwalker Brides #1) by Opal Reyne: This book has been on my tbr for a little while now. And I knew I had to pick it up when I was feeling a fantasy/paranormal read.

While it did take me a while to not only get into the book and imagine our male lead, I was still hooked from the start. It’s a monster romance for sure. So please be aware of that before you read it.

Reia’s freedom for her hometown comes at a price, but she doesn’t know if it’s a good or bad thing. I adored seeing Reia and Orpheus fall for one another. It was little touches and little smiles. And believing in one another and letting each other’s guards down. It was that nice balance of being a slow burn, with a spicy romance.

I’m really excited to read the rest of the series and I cannot wait to see how else fall in love with each other.

Pack’s Promise (Club Heat) by Victoria Kent: I was in the mood for a new omegaverse romance and this one came up on my KU. But it just didn’t do it.

It started off strong, and probably why I did give it 2 stars instead of 1. It was really interesting and I liked the dynamics that were being built. And then it slowly just faded. I can’t pinpoint when it started to fade for me, it just happen slowly.

The romance was okay. But I didn’t feel a massive connection between the characters. It all moved fairly quickly, without much interaction that made me feel that dynamic.

I really did want to like this one. But it didn’t hit the mark and I was left disappointed.

I Like You Like That by Kayla Grosse.: This one caught my eye a few weeks ago when I first saw it pop up on social media. I recently picked it up when I felt like reading a romance with a music star. I never understand my reading habits. But I just go with it.

I had a lot of fun reading this one. It was fun, intense, sexy and made me smile quite a few times. After a falling out our main characters are brought together when Birdie Wilder is in need of protection.

Things are very intense at the start. Birdie and Liam didn’t leave their past friendship on great terms. At first, things are harsh between the pair. But slowly they both let their guards down, and well it’s sexy time then.

And while I did really enjoy this book, I didn’t love it. Still, it’s worth the read.

And there we go. Those are my last five reads and my thoughts on them. What have you read lately? What have you loved? Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? Let’s chat!

Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Vict Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Victoria Wilder’s Bourbon Boys series, and as soon as I heard she was writing a new series, around whiskey and women. Well, hell year. It took me a little bit to get into the book, but after a few chapters, I was hooked.

Wyn is hiding, hiding from everyone, even when she is there. She is hiding behind so much, and damn, I don’t blame her. We don’t know everything from the start, but we start piecing things together, and my heart broke. And I was terrified for her. But she is a Crowne woman, and that means something.

We’ve met Julian before, and while he intrigued me before, I am invested now. He is charming, secretive in the best way and will do anything at this point for Wyn. But he is also lost, and somehow he finds his way to Rumour and back into Wyn’s life.

The romance is hot and steamy and everything that you want. The tension and chemistry in this one is high. Neither Wyn nor Julian wants to really give in or give up on one another, but a lot is standing in their way, honestly, mainly themselves. I just sat there giggling half the time because they are swoon-worthy.

I would say this is the darkest Victoria Wilder book I’ve read, so double-check those trigger warnings before jumping in because there is a lot that happens. And I don’t think it’s going to die down any time soon because these Crowne women are badass, and I know things are only just getting started.

Overall, Rumors & Whiskey is hot and sexual. The tension is dripping off the page, and then you are thrown into the terror and horrors of Rumour. You don’t know what is going to happen next, you don’t know who to trust, and there are so many more secrets that have yet to be revealed. I know I am ready for more. Are you?

Thank you to @atriabooksaus for an earc of Rumors & Whiskey 🥃. I’m in love.

March was a better reading month than February for March was a better reading month than February for me, and while I’m still stuck in my heated rivalry fanfiction era I managed to scrap out of it a little this month.

I reread four books from the sweet omegaverse series and honestly had the best time. I also read two of my most anticipated reads of the year and had a blast. Sadly I did also have my first dnf of the year.

What did you read this March? Any standouts? What are you looking forward to reading in April? Let’s chat!
