Paranormal/Fantasy Romance Books For October | TTT

Paranormal/Fantasy Romance Books For October | TTT

Oct 26, 2021

This week it’s time for a Halloween Freebie. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

It’s always hard for me to do Halloween posts for many different reasons. But the one that stands out the most is, I don’t like scary books or even movies. They are just not for me. But I do like my paranormal and fantasy romances. So I thought there is no better time to recommend some of my favourite paranormal/fantasy romances you can read in October. While these aren’t ‘scary’ they include creatures and themes that I think are perfect for the spooky season.

So let’s get right into it. These recommendations go from a little bit spicy, to hot and spicy. So there is something for everyone. Like always these are in no order.

Rejected (Shadow Beast Shifters #1) by Jaymin Eve | Queen Takes Knights (Their Vampire Queen #1) by Joely Sue Burkhart | Pestilence (The Four Horsemen #1) by Laura Thalassa | Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling #1) by Nalini Singh

Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood #1) by J.R. Ward | Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy #1) by Richelle Mead | From Blood and Ash (Blood and Ash #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout | A Touch of Darkness (Hades & Persephone #1) by Scarlett St. Clair

The Magic of Discovery (Emerald Lakes #1) by Britt Andrews | Neon Gods (Dark Olympus #1) by Katee Robert

And there we go. Those are some of the paranormal/fantasy romances that I think are perfect for October. Like I said none of these are scary, but paranormal romance always does the trick.

Have you read any of these? What did you think of them? Are you planning on reading them? What are some of the books that you would add to your list? So, let’s Chat!

Secondary Characters Who Deserve More Love

Secondary Characters Who Deserve More Love

Aug 10, 2021

This week I’m sharing some of my favourite secondary characters. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

For me, secondary and minor characters can make or break a novel. They are the glue that can stick a novel together. So today I thought I would share some of my favourite secondary characters who I think, deserve some more love. From fantasy to romance novels and more, here are those characters that I want people to know more about.

While doing this I realised that there are a lot of secondary characters that I love. There are so many that I would easily add to this list, but they end up having their own book. So I did play with the topic a little and while they might have their own book now if they were a secondary character in a book first, I’m including them. Like always these are in no order.

The whole friendship group from One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston | Grim from Academy of Stardom by Bea Paige | Miles from Lore by Alexandra Bracken | Nick friendship group from The Extraordinaries by T.J Klune

Betsy from Lord of London Town by Tillie Cole | Kit from the Psy-Changeling Series by Nalini Singh | Bergman Family from the Bergman Brothers series by Chloe Liese | Ash from the Hades Hangmen series by Tillie Cole

And there we go, those are some of my favourite secondary characters that deserve more love. Have you read any of these books? Do you agree? Let’s Chat!

Books I’d Want With Me While Stranded On a Deserted Island

Books I’d Want With Me While Stranded On a Deserted Island

Jul 27, 2021

This week I’m sharing the books that I want with me while stranded on a deserted island. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

If I somehow become stranded on a deserted island I would want my favourite books with me. The ones that would make me happy, the ones that would take me away. Those books just make me feel good. So, today I’m sharing not only the books I that would want with me while stranded on a deserted island, but some of my favourite reads.

There are all different kinds of books on this list. From young adult to romance and everything in between. While I have been reading more romance over the last few years. YA still has a very big spot in my heart. And I mean if I could just have bind-up’s of all the series that I mention then I’ll be good. Anyway enough of this – let’s go.

Check, Please! Book 1: #Hockey (Check, Please! #1-2) by Ngozi Ukazu | The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune | This is How We Change the Ending by Vikki Wakefield | Only When It’s Us (Bergman Brothers #1) by Chloe Liese

The Duchess Deal (Girl Meets Duke #1) by Tessa Dare |With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo| The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1) by Rick Riordan | Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling #1) by Nalini Singh

Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices #1) by Cassandra Clare | Eyes Turned Skyward (Flight & Glory #2) by Rebecca Yarros

And there we go, those are the books that I would want to have with me if I was stranded on a deserted island. Have you read any of these? What did you think of them? Are you planning on reading them? Nevertheless, what are some of the books that you would want with you? So, let’s chat!

And I’m going to be honest here it’s because I’ve been constantly reading Heated Rivalry fanfics. 🤷‍♀️ I’m having the best time though.

How was your reading in February? Any 5 star reads?
