Standalones I Want To Read

Standalones I Want To Read

Sep 4, 2022

The other day I shared the series that I want to read now it’s time to read the standalone that I am hoping to read soon. I don’t read standalones as much as I do series, but I still read a good amount. And I thought what better way for me to make a tbr than share it with you all.

There is a range of different books here, but as the same for most of the year, it is mostly romance. Some of the books are already out and some have yet to be published. But I am still so excited for them. I also didn’t include books that are from standalone series. These are just one-off books. So let’s go and as always these are in no order.

I will make a quick note. At the moment none of these books is part of a series. But they might end up in the near future.

One Pucked Up Pack by Sarah Blue | Black Sheep by Brynne Weaver and Alexa Harlowe. | The Nanny by Lana Ferguson | Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese.

A Lady for a Duke by Alexis Hall | The Accidental Pinup by Danielle Jackson | The Princess Trap by Talia Hibbert | Twisted Ginni by Nicola Rose.

And there we go. Those are some of the standalone that I am really excited to read. I find standalones really interesting. For the most part, I know I’m always wanting more. But that is just me being greedy. I’ve been reading more of them as I move into reading romance. And I am enjoying them even more. But you know what I like more than standalones? Standalones in series. Those are some of my favourites. And I might share some of my favourites soon.

But Have you read any of these standalones? What did you think? Are you planning on reading them? Let’s Chat!

Books I Want To Read By The End of The Year

Books I Want To Read By The End of The Year

Aug 28, 2022

There are so many books that I want to read. So many. But today I thought I would share with you the books I really want to read by the end of the year. I might not be able to read all of these but I am going to give it a go.

Some of these are from series that I have already started, some are from authors I love and some are ones that I really just want to read. Like most of the year, nearly all of the books on this list are romance. It’s honestly all I am reading at the moment. And I’m loving it. I hadn’t included books that are yet to be released. So let’s go. As always these are in no real order.

Wicked Beauty (Dark Olympus #3) by Katee Robert | Cursed Fates (Zodiac Academy #5) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. | Mad Man (Necessary Evils #5) by Onley James. | That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf (Mead Mishaps #2) by Kimberly Lemming.

All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata | Rock Hard (Rock Kiss #2) by Nalini Singh | Promises and Pomegranates (Monsters & Muses #1) by Sav R. Miller. | Written in the Stars (Written in the Stars #1) by Alexandria Bellefleur.

And there we go. Those are the books that I would want to read by the end of the year. Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? What do you want to have read by the end of the year?

Monster Romances On My TBR

Monster Romances On My TBR

Aug 25, 2022

I’ve been in a little bit of a reading slump this month. So the post I planned didn’t really work out. So I would do something fun and share some of the monster romances on my tbr. I’ve loved monster romances more and more recently, and I keep on adding so many to my tbr.

There is a range of other romances on here, from ones of the darker side to fluffy ones that will hopefully make me smile. Some are from new to me authors, and some are from authors that I already love. So let’s get into it. As always these are in no order.

How to Get a Girlfriend (When You’re a Terrifying Monster) (Monster Girlfriend #1) by Marie Cardno. | A Soul to Keep (Duskwalker Brides #1) by Opal Reyne. | Stalked by the Kraken (Monstrous Matches #1) by Lillian Lark | Muscles & Monsters (Leviathan Fitness #1) by Ashley Bennett.

Little Wings of Fate (Creature Cafe #9) by Clio Evans | A Lady of Rooksgrave Manor (Tempting Monsters #1) by Kathryn Moon. | Morning Glory Milking Farm (Cambric Creek #1) by C.M. Nascosta  | The Kraken’s Sacrifice (A Deal With a Demon #2) by Katee Robert.

Fire in His Blood (Fireblood Dragon #1) by Ruby Dixon | That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf (Mead Mishaps #2) by Kimberly Lemming. | The Lady and the Orc (Orc Sworn #1) by Finley Fenn | Monster’s Plaything (Monster & Me #1) by C.R. Jane and Mila Young.

And there we go. Those are the monster romances on my tbr that I cannot wait to read. Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? Are you planning to read any of these? Let’s Chat!

Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Vict Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Victoria Wilder’s Bourbon Boys series, and as soon as I heard she was writing a new series, around whiskey and women. Well, hell year. It took me a little bit to get into the book, but after a few chapters, I was hooked.

Wyn is hiding, hiding from everyone, even when she is there. She is hiding behind so much, and damn, I don’t blame her. We don’t know everything from the start, but we start piecing things together, and my heart broke. And I was terrified for her. But she is a Crowne woman, and that means something.

We’ve met Julian before, and while he intrigued me before, I am invested now. He is charming, secretive in the best way and will do anything at this point for Wyn. But he is also lost, and somehow he finds his way to Rumour and back into Wyn’s life.

The romance is hot and steamy and everything that you want. The tension and chemistry in this one is high. Neither Wyn nor Julian wants to really give in or give up on one another, but a lot is standing in their way, honestly, mainly themselves. I just sat there giggling half the time because they are swoon-worthy.

I would say this is the darkest Victoria Wilder book I’ve read, so double-check those trigger warnings before jumping in because there is a lot that happens. And I don’t think it’s going to die down any time soon because these Crowne women are badass, and I know things are only just getting started.

Overall, Rumors & Whiskey is hot and sexual. The tension is dripping off the page, and then you are thrown into the terror and horrors of Rumour. You don’t know what is going to happen next, you don’t know who to trust, and there are so many more secrets that have yet to be revealed. I know I am ready for more. Are you?

Thank you to @atriabooksaus for an earc of Rumors & Whiskey 🥃. I’m in love.

March was a better reading month than February for March was a better reading month than February for me, and while I’m still stuck in my heated rivalry fanfiction era I managed to scrap out of it a little this month.

I reread four books from the sweet omegaverse series and honestly had the best time. I also read two of my most anticipated reads of the year and had a blast. Sadly I did also have my first dnf of the year.

What did you read this March? Any standouts? What are you looking forward to reading in April? Let’s chat!
