Recent Additions To My Goodreads TBR

Recent Additions To My Goodreads TBR

Jul 16, 2024

I know, I know it’s been a little while again. But life is life and it’s sorta getting in the way at the moment. But today I thought I would share my Goodreads tbr as I haven’t done that in a little while.

If you don’t know I use my Goodreads as a place to remind me of the books I want to read. I may have some of them, but I mostly don’t own the books I do put on that tbr. It’s a way for me to keep updated with books that I want to read that may not be out yet, or I haven’t bought yet.

There is a mix of books that are part of my recent additions from fantasy, to contemporary and some paranormal. It’s a mix of all the types of romances that I love. As always these are in no real order, but let’s go!

The Fates We Tame (Iron Outlaws MC #8) by Scarlett Cole. | Death’s Country by R.M. Romero. | Mistress of Lies (The Age of Blood, #1) by K.M. Enright. | Asking For Trouble (The Fallen Men #7.5) by Giana Darling.

If I Dig You by Colby Wilkens. | Disobedient Pawn (The Kings of Wayward Academy, #1) by Brooklyn Cross. | The North Wind. (The Four Winds, #1) by Alexandria Warwick. | Psycho Shifters (Cruel Shifterverse, #1) by Jasmine Mas.

Midnight Duet by Jen Comfort. | Legacy of Shadows (Supernaturals of Castle Academy, #1) by Tessa Hale. | The Lost Elemental. (Royals of Kingwood Academy, #1) by Tessa Hale. | Dante (Chicago Ruthless, #1) by Sadie Kincaid.

And there we go. Those are some of the recent books I’ve added to my Goodreads tbr. From new to me authors, to ones that I am loving. What books have you recently added to your tbr? Let’s chat!

Book-To-Screen Adaptations That Could Be Amazing

Book-To-Screen Adaptations That Could Be Amazing

Mar 26, 2024

This week I’m sharing some of the books and series that I think would make great book-to-screen adapatations. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

So I did change up this week’s topic a little. Honestly, I don’t watch a lot of TV/Movies that aren’t book-to-screen adaptations, so it was hard for me to choose movies and shows that I think would make amazing books. So I’m sharing some of the books that I think would make fantastic movies or TV shows.

Anyway let’s get into it. Here are the books and series that I think would be amazing book-to-screen adaptations. From contemporary romances, to high fantasy, I would love to see some of these on the screens, wether it’s a movie or a series. And as always these are in no real order.

The Fallen Men Series by Giana Darling | Chestnut Springs Series by Elsie Silver. | The Windsors Series by Catharina Maura. | Maple Hills Series by Hannah Grace.

Brutal Birthright Series by Sophie Lark. | Thunder Road Series by Katie McGarry. | Academy of Stardom by Bea Paige. | School For Heiresses Series Sabrina Jeffries.

The Crown of Oaths and Curses by J. Bree. | The Empyrean Series by Rebecca Yarros.

And there we go, those are the books that I think would make fantastic book-to-screen adaptations. Have you read any of these books? Do you agree? What book-to-screen adaptations would you like to see? Let’s chat!

Books I Meant to Read in 2023 But Didn’t Get To

Books I Meant to Read in 2023 But Didn’t Get To

Jan 23, 2024

This week I’m sharing the books I meant to read in 2023 but didn’t get to. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

There are so many books to read, and my TBR is ever-growing. So for today’s Top Ten Tuesday I’m sharing the books I was meant to read in 2023 but just didn’t get to. While I read over 200 books in 2023, I still didn’t have the time to read so many books that I had been looking forward to. From new releases to books that had just caught my eye, there is a mix here. I have no real explanation, but as a mood reader, I just didn’t feel like picking these up.

So let’s get into it. Here are the books that I was meant to read in 2023, but just didn’t get the chance. As always these are in no real order.

Haunting Adeline (Cat and Mouse, #1) by H.D. Carlton. | The Serpent and the Wings of Night. (Crowns of Nyaxia, #1) by Carissa Broadbent. | Tempting Little Thief (Girls of Greyson, #1) by Meagan Brandy. | Beautiful Things (Second Sons, #1) by Emily Rath.

Forget Me Not by Julie Soto. | If Only You (The Bergman Brothers #6). by Chloe Liese. | Done and Dusted. (Rebel Blue Ranch, #1) by Lyla Sage. | Heartstopper: Volume Five (Heartstopper. #5) by Alice Oseman.

The Pucking Wrong Number (Pucking Wrong, #1) by C.R. Jane. | Butcher & Blackbird (The Ruinous Love Trilogy, #1) by Brynne Weaver.

And there we go, those are just some of the books that I didn’t get to in 2023 but meant to. However, I do hope that I can get to some of them this year. I know there are a few that are on the top of my list for sure. Have you read any of these? What did you think? Are you planning on reading them? What books made it to your list? And so, let’s chat!

March was a better reading month than February for March was a better reading month than February for me, and while I’m still stuck in my heated rivalry fanfiction era I managed to scrap out of it a little this month.

I reread four books from the sweet omegaverse series and honestly had the best time. I also read two of my most anticipated reads of the year and had a blast. Sadly I did also have my first dnf of the year.

What did you read this March? Any standouts? What are you looking forward to reading in April? Let’s chat!

I have a love-hate relationship with this series. I have a love-hate relationship with this series. But I ended up really enjoying this one. It’s best friends to fake dating to-lovers. It’s always been you, bad-boy/good-girl, and I loved that. While Save Your Breath has quite a few tropes, it really leads itself to it, and it works.

Aleks and Mia have known each other for years now. Since they were teenagers, that angst has been building up this whole time. And you can tell right from the get-go, it’s fantastic. I even wanted more of it, because I love pain. When Aleks went to live with Mia’s family as a teenager, sparks flew, but for many reasons, they both put their feelings aside. And well, now they are not only going to be fake-dating, but they might as well be engaged, too.

I really enjoyed seeing how both Aleks and Mia both tried to hide how they were feeling throughout the whole ‘fake-dating’ situation, but anyone could see it. They know each other as no one else does. Aleks has a lot going on, and while I do think this was brushed over a little too much, Mia is his centre. Mia is a massive music star and is a female in the industry, so yeah, people don’t respect her. Obvsiouly because why couldn’t a female star be badass and write about the things that she has gone through? Aleks and Mia get each other, and that is very clear from the start; they are both just trying to squash everything. We get to see them slowly start to show how they feel, and well, one night it all explodes.

Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot; it’s not my favourite of the series, but I had a great time reading it. I liked Aleks and Mia a lot as characeters and while I think the mental health aspect could have been explored a whole lot more, I can see why it wasn’t. The romance was slow and spicy, the angst was great, and the payoff for these two was what they needed.

Well February wasn’t the best reading month. I onl Well February wasn’t the best reading month. I only ended up reading 3 books in. 3 pretty fun books but one of my slowest readings months in a while.

And I’m going to be honest here it’s because I’ve been constantly reading Heated Rivalry fanfics. 🤷‍♀️ I’m having the best time though.

How was your reading in February? Any 5 star reads?
