Books On My Current Wish List

Books On My Current Wish List

September 17, 2020 Posted by angelreads TBR 1 Comment

Today I thought I would share some of the books that are currently on my wish list. These are the books that I want to get my hands on very soon. Some are new releases, some are backlist titles of authors I’m loving. If I was at work these are the books that I would be ordering for myself. Like always these are in no order.

That Scandalous Summer (Rules for the Reckless #1) by Meredith Duran: I don’t know too much about this one, but it sounds like something that I would enjoy a lot. I’m always looking for new historical romances and this one sounds like it’s going to be such a fantastic read.

Sin and Ink (Sweetest Taboo #1) by Naima Simone: I read the WAGS series earlier this month and loved it too bits and this series is one of hers that is on the top of my list. It sounds exactly what I’m looking for in a new romance. Plus the male protagonist works in a tattoo shop so, I’m here.

The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett: This is not something that I would normally read, but it caught my eye as soon as I read the synopsis. Add to that I have heard so many good things about it, I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Legendborn (Legendborn #1) by Tracy Deonn: This is another one that I don’t know too much about. But it sounds amazing. It sounds incredible. And exactly what I love to read. It’s modern but pulls on myths and legends. I am so here for it. Plus look at that cover!

The Widow of Rose House by Diana Biller: This one didn’t catch my eye until recently. I saw it popping up on my twitter and Goodreads timeline again and again. And then I read the synopsis. The Widow of Rose Hill sounds fascinating and so many people I follow and trust have loved it.

All These Monsters (Monsters #1) by Amy Tintera: I can’t believe I haven’t picked All These Monsters up yet. I have loved all of Amy Tintera’s books that I have read and this one sounds so interesting and something that I would enjoy a lot.

The rest of the Psy-Changeling by Nalini Singh: I now have 1-5, but I want to get the whole series. I love it so much already and I know that I will most likely love the rest of the series. This is a big one and it’s going to take me a while to read it all. But I can’t wait. My plan is to buy these in lots of 3 books.

None Shall Sleep by Ellie Marney: There should be no surprise that this one has made it onto my list. I’ve loved all the Ellie Marney books that I have read and this one sounds like it’s going to be dark and sinister. I know I’m going to love this book.

Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas: I want to read this one so much. It sounds like it’s going to be fabulous and fantastic. This has so many things that I look for and love and I’ve just heard so many amazing things about it.

And that it is for today’s post. These are some of the books that are currently on my wish list. I hope I can get some of them soon at least. They all sound fantastic and I can’t wait to dive in. What books are on your wish list? Let’s Chat!

The Widow of Rose House is amazing. It has one of the best romances I’ve ever read! I have Legendborn on my list too. I also put None Shall Sleep on hold. It’s going to be a while until I see the book in my Kindle by the looks of it. I think I will read Cemetery Boys closer to Halloween. It sounds fabulous!

Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Vict Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Victoria Wilder’s Bourbon Boys series, and as soon as I heard she was writing a new series, around whiskey and women. Well, hell year. It took me a little bit to get into the book, but after a few chapters, I was hooked.

Wyn is hiding, hiding from everyone, even when she is there. She is hiding behind so much, and damn, I don’t blame her. We don’t know everything from the start, but we start piecing things together, and my heart broke. And I was terrified for her. But she is a Crowne woman, and that means something.

We’ve met Julian before, and while he intrigued me before, I am invested now. He is charming, secretive in the best way and will do anything at this point for Wyn. But he is also lost, and somehow he finds his way to Rumour and back into Wyn’s life.

The romance is hot and steamy and everything that you want. The tension and chemistry in this one is high. Neither Wyn nor Julian wants to really give in or give up on one another, but a lot is standing in their way, honestly, mainly themselves. I just sat there giggling half the time because they are swoon-worthy.

I would say this is the darkest Victoria Wilder book I’ve read, so double-check those trigger warnings before jumping in because there is a lot that happens. And I don’t think it’s going to die down any time soon because these Crowne women are badass, and I know things are only just getting started.

Overall, Rumors & Whiskey is hot and sexual. The tension is dripping off the page, and then you are thrown into the terror and horrors of Rumour. You don’t know what is going to happen next, you don’t know who to trust, and there are so many more secrets that have yet to be revealed. I know I am ready for more. Are you?

Thank you to @atriabooksaus for an earc of Rumors & Whiskey 🥃. I’m in love.

March was a better reading month than February for March was a better reading month than February for me, and while I’m still stuck in my heated rivalry fanfiction era I managed to scrap out of it a little this month.

I reread four books from the sweet omegaverse series and honestly had the best time. I also read two of my most anticipated reads of the year and had a blast. Sadly I did also have my first dnf of the year.

What did you read this March? Any standouts? What are you looking forward to reading in April? Let’s chat!
