2021 Romance Books I Already Want To Read

2021 Romance Books I Already Want To Read

February 9, 2021 Posted by angelreads Top Ten Tuesday 4 Comments

This week I’m sharing the 2021 Romance Books I Already Want To Read. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

Today I thought I would share some of the 2021 romances that I already want to read. I tried to include a range of romances cause that is what I’m reading from historical to fantasy and more. Like always these are in no order.

Wild Rain (Women Who Dare #2) by Beverly Jenkins: This is the second book in the Women Who Dare series. I read Rebel last year and fell in love and this one sounds just as fantastic. It’s high on my most anticipated list that is for sure. I adore the characters that Jenkins writes and the stories that she explores and I can’t wait for more.

A Lady’s Formula for Love (The Secret Scientists of London #1) by Elizabeth Everett: As soon as I read the synopsis for this one I had to add it to my list. While I’m not a massive fan of Victorian historical romances this sounds fantastic. I love HR that really explore and create complex female characters that push boundaries.

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston: Another one that no one should be surprised is on my list. I adored and I mean adored Red, White And Royal Blue. So you bet I’ll be getting this one as soon as possible. It just sounds so damn good and I’m not sure if I’m ready for it. But I will do it.
The Bride Bet (Girl Meets Duke #4) by Tessa Dare: I’ve now read book 3 and I need the next book, but I have no idea when it’s going to come out. If it’s even going to come out this year. Who knows. But I do need it in my life soon.

Much Ado About You by Samantha Young: As soon as I read the synopsis for this one, I knew that I had to add this to my tbr. It just sounds fantastic. It seems like it’s going to be one of those books that I can just sit down, relax and read. And I’m excited about that.

Yes & I Love You (Say Everything #1) by Roni Loren: This is a new edition to my tbr, but I’ve loved the Roni Loren books that I’ve read so far and I’m excited for this one a lot. It just sounds fantastic. General contemporary romance isn’t something that I read a lot of, but it sounds interesting.

The Stray Prince (Royals #2) by Ella Fields: I read A King So Cold last year and really enjoyed it. So when I heard that there was going to be a sequel you know I had to get on it. I’m nervous and excited to read this one. There is just so much that could happen and I don’t know if I am ready.

Bombshell (Hell’s Belles #1) by Sarah MacLean: A new Sarah MacLean? Um yes, please. It’s a best friends siblings historical romance? I mean. what could be better than that? I just cannot wait. And I can’t wait for the cover.

Devil in Disguise (The Ravenels #7) by Lisa Kleypas: I somehow missed that there was going to be a new Lisa Kleypas and yes I am ready for it. It sounds brilliant and fantastic and everything that I need and want. And it’s not too, too far away.

The Duke Heist (The Wild Wynchesters #1) by Erica Ridley: This is another one that I have just heard about recently but gosh does it sounds amazing. Found families is one of my favourite tropes and this just sounds perfect.

And that is it for this weeks Top Ten Tuesday! What are some of the romances books that you can’t wait for this year? Have you read any of these? Let’s Chat!

March was a better reading month than February for March was a better reading month than February for me, and while I’m still stuck in my heated rivalry fanfiction era I managed to scrap out of it a little this month.

I reread four books from the sweet omegaverse series and honestly had the best time. I also read two of my most anticipated reads of the year and had a blast. Sadly I did also have my first dnf of the year.

What did you read this March? Any standouts? What are you looking forward to reading in April? Let’s chat!

I have a love-hate relationship with this series. I have a love-hate relationship with this series. But I ended up really enjoying this one. It’s best friends to fake dating to-lovers. It’s always been you, bad-boy/good-girl, and I loved that. While Save Your Breath has quite a few tropes, it really leads itself to it, and it works.

Aleks and Mia have known each other for years now. Since they were teenagers, that angst has been building up this whole time. And you can tell right from the get-go, it’s fantastic. I even wanted more of it, because I love pain. When Aleks went to live with Mia’s family as a teenager, sparks flew, but for many reasons, they both put their feelings aside. And well, now they are not only going to be fake-dating, but they might as well be engaged, too.

I really enjoyed seeing how both Aleks and Mia both tried to hide how they were feeling throughout the whole ‘fake-dating’ situation, but anyone could see it. They know each other as no one else does. Aleks has a lot going on, and while I do think this was brushed over a little too much, Mia is his centre. Mia is a massive music star and is a female in the industry, so yeah, people don’t respect her. Obvsiouly because why couldn’t a female star be badass and write about the things that she has gone through? Aleks and Mia get each other, and that is very clear from the start; they are both just trying to squash everything. We get to see them slowly start to show how they feel, and well, one night it all explodes.

Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot; it’s not my favourite of the series, but I had a great time reading it. I liked Aleks and Mia a lot as characeters and while I think the mental health aspect could have been explored a whole lot more, I can see why it wasn’t. The romance was slow and spicy, the angst was great, and the payoff for these two was what they needed.

Well February wasn’t the best reading month. I onl Well February wasn’t the best reading month. I only ended up reading 3 books in. 3 pretty fun books but one of my slowest readings months in a while.

And I’m going to be honest here it’s because I’ve been constantly reading Heated Rivalry fanfics. 🤷‍♀️ I’m having the best time though.

How was your reading in February? Any 5 star reads?

January was a really solid reading month. I read s January was a really solid reading month. I read some books that had been on my tbr for some time, reread a few things that peaked my interest. I also started a few new series. And just had a good time!
