Books I've Loved Under 200 Pages

This week I’m sharing the books I’ve loved that are under 200 pages. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

Top Ten Tuesday this week was a freebie, so I thought it would be fun to share my love for novellas and books under 200 pages. While I don’t read books under 200 pages all the time, I have read quite a few and wanted to share my favourites with you. Some of these books are novellas, some are just short quick stories. Some of these are standalones, and some of these are part of a series of novellas.

So, let’s get stuck right into it. These are some of the books I’ve loved under 200 pages. And as always these are in no order.

Muscles & Monsters (Leviathan Fitness #1) by Ashley Bennett – 182 pages | The Never King (Vicious Lost Boys #1) by Nikki St. Crowe – 192 pages. | That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon (Mead Mishaps #1) by Kimberly Lemming. – 182 pages. | The Dragon’s Bride (A Deal With a Demon #1) by Katee Robert – 180 pages.

The Mistletoe Motive by Chloe Liese – 185 pages | Queen Takes Knights (Their Vampire Queen #1) by Joely Sue Burkhart – 190 pages | Little Slice of Hell (Creature Cafe #1) by Clio Evans – 87 pages. | Truth or Dare by Danielle Allen – 168 pages.

Birthday Shot by Rilzy Adams – 181 pages | Ice Planet Barbarians (Ice Planet Barbarians #1) by Ruby Dixon – 188 pages.

Great Idea for todays TTT post! This year I really started appreciating shorter books. It’s just nice when the book really packs a a lot in a short amount of pages. It tends to drag a lot less I think. I don’t read much romance but I love horror novella’s.

Ooh, I’m always on the lookout for more novellas. I’ve read one or two of these and Mistletoe Motive is still on my TBR, but is that new Rilzy Adams? Will definitely be adding that to my list! Great choice of topic 🙂

I tend to prefer shorter reads myself! They’re a nice break after you’ve read something very long. 🙂

The Mistletoe Motive was so good I didn’t even realize it was under 200 pages! That may be because I listened to it. I just finished Sneaking Around with the Player by Rebecca Jenshak. It’s a holiday novella that’s under 200 pages and it was good.

I’ve not really read all that many books under 200 pages in recent years, I did read quite a lot when I was a kid obviously, but not so much in recent years (and my Goodreads is slightly misleading on this front because I listen to a lot of audiobooks, so the hours are listed as “pages” and it looks like some incredibly long books, like The Priory of The Orange Tree are only 28 pages!).
