Books I’ve Recently Added To My Collection

Books I’ve Recently Added To My Collection

Sep 10, 2023

It’s been a while since I have done a haul but I’ve really trying not to buy a lot of books since I went to RARE and BABE. I have bought a little bit, but not enough to write up a monthly haul post. So today I’m sharing some of the books that I have bought over the past few months.

From indie to traditionally published books and new-to-me authors to books I’ve adored and wanted physical copies of. So let’s get into it here are some of the recent books I’ve added to my collection.

Powerless (Chestnut Springs, #3) by Elsie Silver. | Say It’s Forever (Redemption Hills #2) by A.L. Jackson. | Blame It on the Tequila (Blame it on the Alcohol, #2) by Fiona Cole. | Rebel Hard (Hard Play, #2) by Nalini Singh.

Captured by the Orc General (Monstrous Mates. #2) by Charlotte Swan. | The Longing of Lone Wolves. (Fae Guardians, #1) by Lana Pecherczyk. | Mine to Protect by Emily A. Myers. | Anarchy (Hades, #2) by Tate James.

Block Shot (Hoops. #2) by Kennedy Ryan | Hook Shot (Hoops. #3) by Kennedy Ryan. | Forged by Magic (Falling for Fables, #1) by Jenna Wolfhart. | Fate of a Royal (Lords of Rathe. #1) by Meagan Brandy and Amo Jones.

The Gargoyle’s Captive. (A Deal With a Demon, #3) by Katee Robert | Babymoon or Bust by Ava Hunter. | Whisky Business by Elliot Fletcher. | The Roommate Risk. (The Midnight Heat Collection, #3) by Talia Hibbert.

When the Stars Fall (Lost Stars #1) by Emery Rose. | Dare to Kiss You (The Donnellys of Dogwood Cove #1.) by Julia Jarrett. | Runaway Love. (Cherry Tree Harbor, #1) by Melanie Harlow. | Redlined (Shadow Crew, #1) by Cala Riley.

And there we go, those are some of the books that I have added to my collection over the last few months. As I said I’ve been trying to be really good and not buy so many, but sometimes I just love buying books. doesn’t help that I work in a bookstore either.

But anyway, have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? What have been some of the books that you have gotten recently? So let’s chat!

My Current Kindle Unlimited TBR | September 2023

Sep 7, 2023

I always love sharing with you the books I’m excited to read, and it’s time for another Kindle Unlimited TBR today.

My KU is normally full to the brim. I pretty much always have 20 books out, and once I read one there is a good chance I am returning it and adding another book. So it’s always changing, but also sometimes books can sit on it for months. I sometimes add books as I see them or they get recommended to me. There are other times I binge a series so I read one and then return it to get the next book. Honestly, there is always something going on with my KU TBR.

So let’s get right into it. Here are the books that I currently have on my Kindle Unlimited TBR as of September.

Harper’s Renegades (Hidden Empire. #4) by Elizabeth Knight | Enigma: The Complete Collection. (Engima. #1-4) by Shandi Boyes. | Haunting Adeline (Cat and Mouse Duet, #1) by H.D. Carlton. | Rewrite Our Story (Sutten Mountain, #1) by Kat Singleton.

The Sinner and the Scholar by Lana Pecherczyk. | Black Ties and White Lies by Kat Singleton. | The Serpent and the Wings of Night. (Crowns of Nyaxia. #1) by Carissa Broadbent. | Paladin (Jericho’s Boys, #1) by Onley James.

Hunter (Hunting Her, #1) by Eden Summers. | To Hunt a Demon King. (King and Coven, #1) by Madeleine Eliot. | Beyond Shame (Beyond, #1) by Kit Rocha. | Cracked Foundation (Carnal Expectations #1) by Bex Dawn.

Brutal Obsession (Hockey Gods #1) by S. Massery. | Skeleton King (The Dirty Heroes Collection #9.) by Charity B. | Knot So Lucky. (Holidates, #2) by Trilina Pucci. | Wrathful Souls (Sons of Templar MC – New Mexico, #3) by Anne Malcom.

Allies (The Luna Series, #3) by Letty Frame. | Healer (The Luna Series, # 4) by Letty Frame. | Cash (NOLA Rebels MC #1) by Mackenzy Fox. | Divine Rivals (Letters of Enchantment, #1) by Rebecca Ross.

And there we go. That is my current Kindle Unlimited TBR. Have you read any of these? What did you think of them? Which one should I start first? Do you use Kindle Unlimited? What are some of the books you’ve read on there? So, let’s chat!

Books That Defied My Expectations

Books That Defied My Expectations

Sep 5, 2023

This week I’m sharing the books that defied my expectations. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

I had a lot of fun with this week’s topic. So I decided I would share the five books that I didn’t know if I was going to like and ended up loving, and then five that I thought that I was going to really enjoy and didn’t.

I share a lot about the books that I love reading and not so much about the books that weren’t for me. And today I get to share both. I just want to make a quick note, these are just my opinions. Sometimes a book just isn’t for me, but you might love it. And that is what reading is about. I might also love a book that you hate. And that is okay.

So let’s get right into it. Here are the books that defied my expectations. The five books that surprised me with how much I loved them. And the five books that were a letdown. As always these are in no real order.

The Books That Defied My Expectations and Surprised Me

Babymoon or Bust by Ava Hunter – Review. | Muscles & Monsters (Leviathan Fitness. #1) by Ashley Bennett. | Delilah Green Doesn’t Care. (Bright Falls. #1) by Ashley Herring Blake. | The Mindf*ck Series (Mindf*ck, #1-5) by S.T. Abby.

Lola & the Millionaires: Part One and Two. (Sweet Omegaverse, #2/#3) by Kathryn Moon.

The Books That Defied My Expectations and Disappointed Me

Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner. | The Words by Ashley Jade. | Knot My Type. (All Access. #1) by Evie Mitchell. | Custom Built. (Fast & Fury. #1) by Chantal Fernando.

Hands Down by Mariana Zapata.

And there we go. Those are just some of the books that defied my expectations in either a good or bad way. Have you read any of these books? What are your thoughts on them? What are the books that made it onto your list this week? Let’s chat!

I had such a great time reading this book. I didn’ I had such a great time reading this book. I didn’t know what to expect, but at the same time it was exactly what I wanted.

Driven is an entertaining, suspenseful new adult romance debut that has a second chance romance, is brothers best friend and has fast cars.

It’s one of those books that is perfect for those looking for something that they won’t want to put down, leave them second guessing and wanting more.

It’s full of second changes, finding yourself and falling for the one person that is forbidden.

This is all such a great debut novel that makes me want to read more from Emma J Warrender.

Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Vict Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Victoria Wilder’s Bourbon Boys series, and as soon as I heard she was writing a new series, around whiskey and women. Well, hell year. It took me a little bit to get into the book, but after a few chapters, I was hooked.

Wyn is hiding, hiding from everyone, even when she is there. She is hiding behind so much, and damn, I don’t blame her. We don’t know everything from the start, but we start piecing things together, and my heart broke. And I was terrified for her. But she is a Crowne woman, and that means something.

We’ve met Julian before, and while he intrigued me before, I am invested now. He is charming, secretive in the best way and will do anything at this point for Wyn. But he is also lost, and somehow he finds his way to Rumour and back into Wyn’s life.

The romance is hot and steamy and everything that you want. The tension and chemistry in this one is high. Neither Wyn nor Julian wants to really give in or give up on one another, but a lot is standing in their way, honestly, mainly themselves. I just sat there giggling half the time because they are swoon-worthy.

I would say this is the darkest Victoria Wilder book I’ve read, so double-check those trigger warnings before jumping in because there is a lot that happens. And I don’t think it’s going to die down any time soon because these Crowne women are badass, and I know things are only just getting started.

Overall, Rumors & Whiskey is hot and sexual. The tension is dripping off the page, and then you are thrown into the terror and horrors of Rumour. You don’t know what is going to happen next, you don’t know who to trust, and there are so many more secrets that have yet to be revealed. I know I am ready for more. Are you?

Thank you to @atriabooksaus for an earc of Rumors & Whiskey 🥃. I’m in love.
