Top Ten Series That I Need To Start Reading

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten list that members at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone join as you please. This week’s topic is Top Ten Series That I Need To Start.

There are so many series that I want to start reading, too many to count really, but here are some that I want to hopefully read in the next year. Like always these are in no order.

The Diviners by Libba Bray: This series has been on my TBR for such a long time. I am highly certain that I am going to like it. I don’t even know why I haven’t picked it up. It’s historical fiction and paranormal – a lot of things that I like there.

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon: I am so ashamed that I haven’t read this series – you have no idea. I meet Samantha when The Bone Season came out and she was here for promo. And I still haven’t read it. I don’t even have an excuse.

Monsters of Verity by Victoria Schwab: I have just recently read the first 2 books in the Shades of Magic trilogy and loved it. So I am slowly trying to make it through Victoria’s other series and I am so excited. Think this one is the next on my list.

The Nevernight Chronicles by Jay Kristoff: A lot of my friends are going to hate me for this one, but I really have to be in the mood for high fantasy, especially if it’s more on the adult side. And I just never have been. In saying that I will get to this series, one day.

Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein: If you have been here for a while you might that that I love historical fiction, especially when it has to do with wars and conflicts that are similar. Earlier this year I read The Peral Thief and while I didn’t love it, I cannot wait to read the Code Name Verity duology.

Goddess Test by Aimee Carter: It is based on mythology, need I say more. I love anything and everything to do with mythology and I’ve had this series sitting on my shelf for quite some time now. I really hope that I get a chance to read it soon.

The Medoran Chronicles by Lynette Noni: Most people I know that have read this series have really enjoyed it. Including my younger cousin that keeps on begging me to read it. I do have the first book, so I will try soon.

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White: After reading And I Darken and Now I Rise, I knew that I needed to read some more books from Kiersten White. And this series seems like it’s right down my lane.

Legend by Marie Lu: This series has been on my TBR for quite some time now and I will get to it soon, hopefully by the end of the year. It just seems like a series that I can fly through and really enjoy.

Study Series by Maria V. Snyder: Again another series that I have wanted to read for such a long time, but I have just never had the chance to pick it up. I really want to though, I think I would really enjoy it.

Ten Books That I’ve Recently Added To My TBR List

For me, my TBR is the books that I want to read. I might not own some of these, but I like to have a place where I can have book titles that I won’t forget later. Most of the books on this list are NA as I am going through a binge read of them.

The Undercurrent by Paula Weston: Electical currents running through the protagonist’s skin, an ex-footballer who is now working for the military, thrown together. This just sounds epic plus its #LoveOzYA.

Vicious Cycle by Katie Ashley: I am not even sure how this one came along, but it sounds like something that I just might enjoy.

Fearless by Jennifer Jenkins: This is the 3rd book in the Nameless series and I am so excited to read. I loved the first two books and cannot wait to see where the story takes us.

Martinis & Moonlight by Andrea Johnston: While I didn’t love the first two books, I do want to find out what everyone is up to. Hope this answers some questions.

Neverland by Margot McGovern: It’s a dark take on the traditional boarding school novel, filled with late night adventures, sailing, secrets, smuggling, and a little-forbidden romance. Plus #LoveOZYA.

Rookie Move by Sarina Bowen: I am slowly making my way through her books, this is the next series that I need to pick up.

Beautiful Mess by Claire Christian: Another #LoveOzYA that I cannot wait to get my hands on. I am so excited.

The Fifteenth Minute by Sarina Bowen: The only book that I haven’t read in the Ivy Years series – so excited!

Last Will and Testament by Dahlia Adler: somone recommended this one to me so it went straight onto my TBR – plus it sounds like something that I would like.

Broken by Lauren Layne: Another one someone recommended this one to me. I am excited to pick it up.

Top Ten Most Anticipated Books For The Rest of 2017

I found it quite hard to make a list this week, I think because most of my highly anticipated books have already been released this year, or the ones that are coming up like Now I Rise, I’ve already managed to read. But I’ve made a list anyway like always these are in no particular order.

Renegades by Marissa Meyer: Superpowers, Secret identities, vengeance, and justice – oh I am so in. | Coming November.

Wonder Women: Warbringer by Leigh Bardougo: It’s wonder women coming-of-age and Leigh Bardugo all wrapped into one. I couldn’t be happier. | Coming August.

Before She Ignites by Jodi Meadows: Fantasy, anxiety, dragons and betrayed by the very people she spent her life serving. | Coming September.

One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake: I adored Three Dark Crowns last year and I cannot wait to get my hands on the sequel. Heaps went down at the end of the first book and I feel like it’s going to explode soon. | Coming September.

The Colour Project by Sierra Abrams: This just sounds like my type of read. A beautiful romance that just takes on so much more. | Coming July.

Dear Martin by Nic Stone: After reading The Hate U Give at the start of the year, as soon as I heard about Dear Martin I knew I needed it. It sounds beautiful and oh so important. | Coming October.

Coming Up For Air by Miranda Kenneally: This is going to be the last book in the Hundred Oaks series and I am not okay. I started this series some time ago, one of the first contemporary books that I read. | Coming July.

Trust by Kylie Scott: Again this just sounds like my type of book. I didn’t know much about it until a month ago, but it’s moved up that anticipated list. | Coming July.

Little Monsters by Kara Thomas: a psychological thriller that is about appearances versus reality. It explores the power of manipulation amongst teenage girls. | Coming July.

Take Three Girls by Cath Crowley, Simmone Howell & Fiona Wood: Three of #LoveOzYA’s best authors coming together. Yes, please.
