Ten Books on my Spring TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten list that members at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. All bloggers are then welcomed to join. This week’s topic is: Ten Books on my Spring TBR.

I love spring, it’s one of my favourite seasons. I like that it’s not too hot, that I can go on walks and even sometimes I can sit outside and read. Also, my birthday is in spring (November 18th to be exact), but it’s just a nice couple of months before the heat comes.

This week there is a mix of books, some have been published, some not. Some I already have in my hands, some I need to find some money to buy. However, I am hoping to read most fo these by the end of November.

TTT Spring 1

Heartless by Marissa Meyer: I currently have an arc of this in my hands and cannot wait to get started. I have loved Marissa Meyer’s previous novels and cannot wait to dig into this. Published: November 8th

The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi: I was sent this one for review, but I am totally excited to read it. Published: November in Australia

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo: I loved Six of Crows and cannot wait to see what happens next. I loved the world, the magic and the characters. Published: September 27th

TTT Spring

Tales of Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare: Okay, I have already read this but, I cannot wait for it to be in physical form and re-read it. Published: November 15th

P.S. I Like You by Kasie West: This is already out, but I have yet had the chance to pick it up and I really hope to do it in the next couple of months. Published: July

Assassin’s Heart by Sarah Ahiers: I haven’t heard too many things about this one, but I was sent it for review and it looks like something right up my alley. Published: August 22nd Australia/New Zealand

TTT Spring

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff: The only reasons I haven’t picked this up is because I haven’t had time. I feel like it’s one of those books that I just want to sit down and read. So I am waiting. I was lucky enough to be able to interview Jay for my #LoveOZYA Interviews. Published: July

In the Dark, in the Woods by Eliza Wass: Aka – The Cresswell Plot. This was one of my most anticipated books of the year, but I have yet had the chance to read it. I did buy it the other week so that is one step closer. Published: April

The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout: This one sounds like my kind of read and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Hopefully soon. Published: June

TTT Spring

The Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan: I adored the first book in the series,  and I am so excited to see where this adventure takes me. Published: October 4th

And that is my list! What are you looking forward to reading in the next couple of months? Do we share anything that is the same? Do you think I might enjoy something else? Let’s Chat!

Ten TV Series That I Love To Watch

Ten TV Series That I Love To Watch

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten list that members at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. All bloggers are then welcomed to join. This week’s topic is: Ten TV Series That I Love To Watch.

I haven’t done a Top Ten Tuesday in quite a while, university and life has just been a little crazy, but I have a little time now, so I thought – why not.

I loved to watch TV series, but it’s a rare occasion that I watch them while they are on TV. So yes, I binge watch TV shows. It’s fun and exhausting all the at the same time. I have broken up today’s topic into two parts.

The first is series that are currently on TV – meaning that they show hasn’t finished yet. And the second are for shows that have long finished – and yes I love watching older shows.

Current TV

Game of Thrones: I loved watching GoT, this is one of few that I watch while it’s on TV simply because I don’t want to be spoiled.

Supernatural: need I say more. It started when I was much younger – but it scared the crap out of me (still does sometimes), so I stopped watching it, but I am all caught up now.

Shadowhunters: If you know me, you know that I love my Shadowhunter books, so of course I watch the TV series. It might be perfect, but its way better than the movie.

Flash: I love my superheros and this might be my favourite out of the DC series, Arrow is close behind.

The 100: This is one of the shows that my sister and I still down and watch together, and I love how it’s getting better as it goes.

Finished Series

Gilmore Girls: I watch this series when I was younger, but with the reboot coming I thought I would re-watch and I enjoy it.

Wonder Woman (1975): I love Wonder Woman, she is one of my favourite heroes and I love this series.

Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993): I love it okay. I am not a massive fan of the superman movies, but give me this series another day.

Full House: Another series I binge watched because of a reboot. My family and I watched this together and it had has in giggles.

Buffy: Now this series I basically grew up watching and I will always love it. One of the TV series that started my love for the supernatural.

All bloggers are then welcomed to join. This week’s topic is Ten Books You’d Buy Right This Second If Someone Handed You A Fully Loaded Gift Card.

I wish I had all the money in the world to buy books, but with no job and a university student – it’s hard to buy books. So if I had a loaded gift card I would go on a book shopping spree for sure. I would be in heaven. In in my list there are some that have already been published and some that are coming out in coming months.

Buy Now 1

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys: I adored this book, it’s one of my favourite books this year, however I received an e-arc of it, therefore I don’t have one of my book shelf.

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys: Ely over at Tea and Titles loves this one and since it’s by Ruta Sepetys and set during world war 2, I think I am going to love it to.

The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan: This is the only series that I have yet to read by Riordan and I love all his other books, so I don’t see why I won’t love these.

buy now 2

P.S I Like You by Kasie West: It’s Kasie West – enough said.

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake: This one sounds like my type of book and I loved Anna Dresses in Blood.

Girl Against the Universe by Paula Stokes: I have heard so many good things about this one that I cannot help but want it.

buy now 3

On the Edge of Gone by Corinne Duyvis: This one sounds so interesting plus the hardcover is gorgeous!

Summer of Sloane by Erin L. Schneider: It’s set in Hawaii and I have been hearing quite good things about it.

The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner: This one sounds fantastic and gosh the reviews have been amazing.

radio silence

Radio Silence by Alice Oseman: I really enjoy Alice Oseman’s first book, and I have been hearing so many good things about this one.

And that is it! What are books that you would buy right now if you had the money? Do we share any? Let’s Chat!

Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Vict Yeah, this is what I wanted. I really enjoyed Victoria Wilder’s Bourbon Boys series, and as soon as I heard she was writing a new series, around whiskey and women. Well, hell year. It took me a little bit to get into the book, but after a few chapters, I was hooked.

Wyn is hiding, hiding from everyone, even when she is there. She is hiding behind so much, and damn, I don’t blame her. We don’t know everything from the start, but we start piecing things together, and my heart broke. And I was terrified for her. But she is a Crowne woman, and that means something.

We’ve met Julian before, and while he intrigued me before, I am invested now. He is charming, secretive in the best way and will do anything at this point for Wyn. But he is also lost, and somehow he finds his way to Rumour and back into Wyn’s life.

The romance is hot and steamy and everything that you want. The tension and chemistry in this one is high. Neither Wyn nor Julian wants to really give in or give up on one another, but a lot is standing in their way, honestly, mainly themselves. I just sat there giggling half the time because they are swoon-worthy.

I would say this is the darkest Victoria Wilder book I’ve read, so double-check those trigger warnings before jumping in because there is a lot that happens. And I don’t think it’s going to die down any time soon because these Crowne women are badass, and I know things are only just getting started.

Overall, Rumors & Whiskey is hot and sexual. The tension is dripping off the page, and then you are thrown into the terror and horrors of Rumour. You don’t know what is going to happen next, you don’t know who to trust, and there are so many more secrets that have yet to be revealed. I know I am ready for more. Are you?

Thank you to @atriabooksaus for an earc of Rumors & Whiskey 🥃. I’m in love.

March was a better reading month than February for March was a better reading month than February for me, and while I’m still stuck in my heated rivalry fanfiction era I managed to scrap out of it a little this month.

I reread four books from the sweet omegaverse series and honestly had the best time. I also read two of my most anticipated reads of the year and had a blast. Sadly I did also have my first dnf of the year.

What did you read this March? Any standouts? What are you looking forward to reading in April? Let’s chat!
