Popular Authors that I Still Have Not Read

Popular Authors that I Still Have Not Read

Nov 21, 2023

This week I’m sharing the popular authors that I still haven’t read from. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

This was last week’s topic, but as I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, I thought I would do last week’s TTT, as I missed out.

I’ve read a lot of books from a lot of different authors, but there are still quite a few popular authors that I haven’t read yet. So for today’s Top Ten Tuesday, I decided to share some of the popular authors I haven’t read yet but want to—most, if not all of these authors write romance. So if you don’t read romance you may not know all of these authors, but these are the authors and books that I see come up all the time.

Anyway enough chit-chat, let’s get into it. Here are some popular romance authors that I haven’t had the chance to read yet, but hope I can get to soon. As always these are in no order.

Claire Contreras | Kat Singleton. | Carissa Broadbent | RuNyx.

Rina Kent | H.D. Carlton. | Emily McIntire. | Catherine Cowles.

S. Massery. | Laura Pavlov.

And there we go! Those are some of the popular romance authors that I haven’t had the chance to read yet, but I am hoping I can get to them soon. Have you read any of these authors? What did you think of them? What authors made it onto your list? So let’s have a chat!

Monster Romance Books That Are On My TBR

Monster Romance Books That Are On My TBR

Oct 19, 2023

Okay I know it’s nearly the end of October but I’ve only gotten time to write this post up. So today I’m sharing the Monster romance books that are currently sitting on my TBR. I had hoped to get through some of them this month, but it’s just not been my mood.

So instead I decided to share the ones that I hope to get to soon with you all. Monster romance isn’t for everyone but I kinda love it. It can be sweet and sexy and then downright outrageous. I love the range and it always has a bit of everything.

So let’s get into it. Here are some of the monster romances on my to-be-read list. As always these are in no real order.

Morning Glory Milking Farm (Cambric Creek, #1) by C.M. Nascosta. | Stalked by the Kraken (Monstrous Matches, #1) by Lillian Lark. | Ensnared (The Spider’s Mate, #1) by Tiffany Roberts. | A Soul to Heal (Duskwalker Brides, #2) by Opal Reyne.

Games with the Orc (Monster Smash Agency, #1) by Kathryn Moon. | Not So Kind Regards (Warts & Claws Inc #1). by Clio Evans | Her Soul to Take (Souls Trilogy #1) by Harley Laroux. | That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf. (Mead Mishaps. #2) by Kimberly Lemming.

Mantras & Minotaurs (Leviathan Fitness #3) by Ashley Bennett. | The Company of Fiends (Tempting Monsters. #2) by Kathryn Moon. | Taken by the Dark Elf King. (Monstrous Mates, #1) by Charlotte Swan. | Superbia (Shades of Sin. #2) by Colette Rhodes.

So there we go. Those are some of the monster romances that are still on my TBR and I would really like to read them soon. Have you read any of these? And what are some of your favourite monster romances? So, let’s chat!

Re-read Book Tag

Re-read Book Tag

Apr 2, 2023

It’s time for another book tag. If you haven’t realised by now I love re-reading. I don’t know why but it’s one of my favourite things to do. It’s a great way to get me out of a slump and sometimes I just love re-reading something that I love. So when I came across this tag I knew that I had to do it.

The Reread Tag was created by Brianna at Brianna’s Books and Randomness, and you guessed it! It’s all about re-reading. So let’s get right into it.

A CHILDHOOD FAVOURITE THAT YOU COULD READ 100 TIMES AND STILL LOVE.

This could be one of two books. While I haven’t read them both in some time, I would not hesitate to read them again. And they are If I Ran the Circus by Dr. Seuss and Junie B. Jones Is a Beauty Shop Guy by Barbara Park. These are books I would re-read weekly when I was younger. If I Ran the Circus was one of the longest Dr. Seuss books I had and Junie B was such fun.

A BOOK YOU DNF’D BUT WOULD BE WILLING TO GIVE A SECOND CHANCE TO.

There aren’t many books that I DNF, it’s more ‘I don’t feel like this book at this moment’. So the book that fits this for me is The Diviners (The Diviners, #1) by Libba Bray. On paper, this sounds like my type of read. But I have tried to read it twice now and haven’t been in the mood. Maybe I will be able to do it one day.

A NEWER FAVORITE YOU WOULD RE-READ

I don’t even have to think about this one, because I have already done it and will do it again. But it’s Lola & the Millionaires: Part One and Two (Sweet Omegaverse, #2 & #3) by Kathryn Moon. This is now one of my favourite duo of books. I enjoy this whole series really but Lola is just everything that I want. If you like why choose and omegaverse and haven’t picked this up, do it.

A BOOK YOU HATED AND NEVER WANT TO READ AGAIN

There aren’t many books that I hate per se, but there are books that I didn’t enjoy and would not re-read again. Some of the books that I haven’t enjoyed recently are Steal Me (Haunted Roads #1) by India R. Adams,   Rebel & Her Knights (Pack Bonds, #1) by Rosemary A. Johns and Vows of a Mobster by Eva Winners.

A CLASSIC YOU READ IN SCHOOL BUT WANT TO TRY AGAIN

There aren’t many classics that I read in school that I would like to re-read honestly. I mostly read Jane Austen and I’m just not a fan. I have tried to read several of her books for school and outside of it and just haven’t liked any. And the rest of the classics I mainly read were Shakespeare. Which I did enjoy, but I would rather read more from him than the same ones.

AN AUTHOR YOU WOULD RE-READ ANYTHING FROM

Again this is easy! Rebecca Yarros hands down. There isn’t a good of hers that I haven’t loved and given below a 4 star. I have re-read a few of her books already and would do it again hands down. She just writes books and characters that I fall in love with. And

A SERIES YOU WANT TO RE-READ FOR THE FUN OF IT

This is a toss-up between two series that I adore. The Winner’s Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski and The Conqueror’s Saga by Kiersten White. I adore both of these series so much, and I have wanted to do a re-read for some time now. so it might just happen soon.

And there we go. That is the re-read book tag. I hope that you enjoyed that, I know I had a lot of fun doing it. Do you like to re-read? What is a book that you would like to read again? If you do this tag let me know and I will check it out. Let’s Chat!

April was a very good reading month for me, especi April was a very good reading month for me, especially after last month. I had some really fantastic reads in April. I did do a lot of re-reading this month but I had such blast. I re-read Caught Up and Play Along and the first 4 books in the Ironside Academy series. 📚

I read some books that I’ve been waiting for including the new book from Kels and Denise Stone, as well as the new Tessa Hale. ✨

Overall it was such a good month, lots of binge reading series and starting on some new authors. I’m so excited to see what May brings. 🖤

What was your favourite book that you read in April?

After a week off we are back at it. We are in Miami this week’s and things are only just heating up. This week I’m reading Falling Off the Cliff Kanitha P.

…

Formula 1 legend in the making and rising star Thiago Valencia is chasing redemption as well as his second World Champion title. With a tarnished reputation and an undetermined future in F1 that hangs by a terribly loose thread, he can’t afford to lose his seat. Thiago is ready to do anything to redeem himself and erase his past mistakes. When a mysterious woman intrudes on his private party in Monte Carlo, he is certain the universe has brought his polar opposite into his life as salvation. He is sunshine, she is moonlight; he is a bright star and she is a moonbeam.

Destiny takes the wheel, steering Kamari into Thiago’s orbit, but her open disdain and closely guarded heart warn her to stay away. Enchanted by her charms, Thiago is intent on melting her freezing barriers and tearing down the walls shielding her heart.

When Kamari agrees to help him save his future by being his fake girlfriend, the unexpected happens, triggered by a game of lies, secrets and desire.

As they plunge towards the finish line, the race veers offtrack and neither of them are ready to fall off the cliff.

A little late but I am finally getting to share Ra A little late but I am finally getting to share Race 5’s Race Week Reads review. This week I read, Downforce (Pit Lane #1) by Hannah Lily.

🏎️ Review 🏎️

I had so much fun reading this book. I knew I was in for a ride as soon as I started Downforce. It was entertaining, fun, and I just had a good time reading it. And while it does explore some heavy topics, I don’t think it took away from the fun nature of the book.

Right from the start, we can see the tension between F1 Presenter, Olivia Fraser and F1 Driver, Jonah Scott. And while silly at times, it was fun seeing them interact together. Both really didn’t like each other. They both had said things about and to one another that sometimes it caused chaos. And I was here for it.

I did find that at times, just silly things happened. I am not a massive rom-com reader, and there was a lot of falling into one another, and arguments stemmed from nothing. This is honestly just because I don’t like these types of scenes, but it didn’t really make me dislike the book at all.

I loved the whole road trip aspect of the book, it’s different from other F1 books I’ve read so far this year and just made for some interesting banter and lust. I do wish that the road trip was a little longer than it was because I did feel like the romance moved pretty quickly here, but again, it didn’t really affect how much I was enjoying the book.

The romance was this combination of being slow burn and full of angst right at the start, to the road trip happening and then bam. But I loved it, though. The banter between Olivia and Jonah was fantastic. I loved seeing them grow not only with one another but with themselves as well.

Overall, I had a great time reading Downforce and will be continuing the series for sure when the other books come out. The romance was angsty and just felt right. The found family aspect really worked well here, and the F1 aspects were pretty okay. Not the best I’ve seen, but not the worst either. If you are looking for a fun read that has a great romance and a little rom-comy, then pick this one up.
I’ve already had a pretty amazing reading year. I’ve already had a pretty amazing reading year. There have been so many books that I have enjoyed but there are some that I have just loved. 🖤

I didn’t realise before I put this post together that all of these books are from authors I’ve read and loved before. There hasn’t been a Rebecca Yarros book that I haven’t rated under 4 Stars. Elsie Silver is just making me love everything that she writes. Wild and Wrangled may be my favourite in the series. 📖

Three rereads also made it to this list. Binding 13 still makes me gasp and smile all at the same time. And Caught Up and Play Along just hit every time. 📚

I’ve honestly had a great year so far and since making this post a few more books I’ve read I’ve ended up loving. It’s going to be hard to pick my favourites at the end of the year that is for sure. ✨

What books have you loved reading this year? Are any books that made my list on yours? Let me know!
