Books That I Am Glad I Read This Year

Books That I Am Glad I Read This Year

Nov 22, 2022

This week I’m sharing the books that I am glad I picked up this year and read. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

This week is a thankful freebie. So I thought it would be a good idea to share the books I am glad and thankful that I have picked up and read this year. From being able to discover a new author that I love or a new series that I’m so glad that I found. This is a way for me to share my love and to be thankful for all the books I’ve read this year.

So let’s get into it right away. These are some of the books that I am glad and thankful that I picked up and read this year. And as always these are in no order.

Lore Olympus: Volume One (Lore Olympus Volumes #1) by Rachel Smythe | Find Me (WITSEC #1) by Ashley N. Rostek. | Lilacs and Leather (Pack Saint Clair #1) by Thora Woods | The Dragon’s Bride (A Deal With a Demon #1) by Katee Robert.

Everything for You (Bergman Brothers #5) by Chloe Liese | Reason to Believe (Legacy #1) by Rebecca Yarros. | The Longing of Lone Wolves (Fae Guardians #1) by Lana Pecherczyk. | Delilah Green Doesn’t Care (Bright Falls #1) by Ashley Herring Blake.

Broken Bonds (The Bonds That Tie #1) by J. Bree | Lovelight Farms (Lovelight #1) by B.K. Borison.

And there we go. Those are the books that I am glad and thankful that I have picked up and read this year. What books made it to your list? Let’s Chat!

The Series I Need To Finish | TTT

Nov 8, 2022

This week I’m sharing the series that I need and want to finish. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish and is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

I have read so many series over the past year, but there are also so many series that I need to finish. Some I’ve just started, some I binged reading a few and need to keep going. And there are some that I read what I could and was waiting for more to come out. And today I’m sharing all of these. I’m sharing the series that I have started and need and want to finish.

There is a mix of series on today’s Top Ten Tuesday. There are some that are completed, and some that are still getting written. Add to that series that I am so close to finishing. Let’s get right into it, and as always these are in no order.

Hannaford Prep by J. Bree – 1 Book Left | Clifton Forge by Devney Perry – 3 Books Left. | Necessary Evils Series by Onley James – 2 Books Left. | Zodiac Academy by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti – 5? Books Left.

The Bonds That Tie Series by J. Bree – 4 Books Left. | Rock Kiss Series by Nalini Singh – 3 Books Left. | Fae Guardians Series by Lana Pecherczyk – 1 Book Left. | Creature Cafe Series by Clio Evans – 2 Books Left.

Twisted Series by Ana Huang – 2 Books Left | Hidden Empire by Elizabeth Knight – 3 Books Left.

And there we go. Those are the current series that I want and need to finish. I hope that I can finish most if these by next year. What series made it onto your list? Have you read any of mine? Let’s Chat!

The Books I Want To Read Next

The Books I Want To Read Next

Oct 20, 2022

I am terrible at making TBRs and keeping to them. I am a massive mood reader and no matter what I do I can never really keep to a tbr. So most of the time I know what I want to read in the near future. But don’t know what or even if I will get to it.

But today I thought it would be fun to share with you some of the books I am hoping to get to in the next few weeks. From sequels to series I’m loving, to books that have recently caught my eye. There is a mix of books here from genres to authors. So let’s go. And as always these are in no order.

Monster’s Temptation (Monster & Me #1) by C.R. Jane and Mila Young: This is actually my current read. I picked it up at Books-In-Sight a few weekends ago and I’m enjoying it quite a bit.

Madigan Mountain Series by Sarina Bowen, Devney Perry and Rebecca Yarros: I love this trio of authors together and I’m so excited they have written another series. This time it’s about brothers who find their love. Yes, please!

Lunatic (Necessary Evils, #6) by Onley James: I have been slowly making my way through this series throughout the year. And let me tell you with each more I am more and more excited. This is the latest book out and I cannot wait.

Faith & the Dead End Devils (Sweet Omegaverse #8) by Kathryn Moon: I already know I will be reading this the day it releases. I’ve been hanging for this book for nearly a year now and I cannot wait. I not only adore Kathryn Moon, but this whole series is also one of my favourites.

Court of the Vampire Queen by Katee Robert: I’m not sure why I haven’t read this one yet. But I do want to try and get to it before the end of the year. I’ve loved all the Katee Robert I’ve read so I can’t wait.

Demons Do It Better (Hidden Species #1) by Louisa Masters: Ely read this one recently and she could not stop talking about it, so I guess I have to read it! It’s been on my tbr for some time now, so I am excited.

Fine Print, Volume 1 by Stjepan Šejić: This has been on my tbr for over a year now and I really need and want to get to it. I just keep on putting it off for some reason. But I am excited to read some more graphic novels.

Cursed Fates (Zodiac Academy #5) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti: This is another series that I started this year and I’m stuck in.  I don’t want to stop reading it and I just want to know what is going to happen next. I have many more books and pages to go. And I can’t wait.

And there we go. Those are the books that I really want to get stuck into soon and read. Have you read any of these? What did you think of them? Are you planning on reading them? What do you want to read next? Let’s chat!

I have a love-hate relationship with this series. I have a love-hate relationship with this series. But I ended up really enjoying this one. It’s best friends to fake dating to-lovers. It’s always been you, bad-boy/good-girl, and I loved that. While Save Your Breath has quite a few tropes, it really leads itself to it, and it works.

Aleks and Mia have known each other for years now. Since they were teenagers, that angst has been building up this whole time. And you can tell right from the get-go, it’s fantastic. I even wanted more of it, because I love pain. When Aleks went to live with Mia’s family as a teenager, sparks flew, but for many reasons, they both put their feelings aside. And well, now they are not only going to be fake-dating, but they might as well be engaged, too.

I really enjoyed seeing how both Aleks and Mia both tried to hide how they were feeling throughout the whole ‘fake-dating’ situation, but anyone could see it. They know each other as no one else does. Aleks has a lot going on, and while I do think this was brushed over a little too much, Mia is his centre. Mia is a massive music star and is a female in the industry, so yeah, people don’t respect her. Obvsiouly because why couldn’t a female star be badass and write about the things that she has gone through? Aleks and Mia get each other, and that is very clear from the start; they are both just trying to squash everything. We get to see them slowly start to show how they feel, and well, one night it all explodes.

Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot; it’s not my favourite of the series, but I had a great time reading it. I liked Aleks and Mia a lot as characeters and while I think the mental health aspect could have been explored a whole lot more, I can see why it wasn’t. The romance was slow and spicy, the angst was great, and the payoff for these two was what they needed.

Well February wasn’t the best reading month. I onl Well February wasn’t the best reading month. I only ended up reading 3 books in. 3 pretty fun books but one of my slowest readings months in a while.

And I’m going to be honest here it’s because I’ve been constantly reading Heated Rivalry fanfics. 🤷‍♀️ I’m having the best time though.

How was your reading in February? Any 5 star reads?
